Get your business online for £1

Nominet, the UK internet registry, want to ensure everyone benefits from the internet, as a force for good. They have partnered with Scoot, the online business directory, to create a unique offer that makes it quick, simple and very inexpensive for any business to experience the first stages of creating a website and setting up a professional email address containing the name of their business or charity.

In response to several recent research reports indicating that 40% of SMEs, around 1.85m businesses, are still without their own website and not benefiting from all the advantages of going digital, they have put together a compelling offer aimed at mature small and micro-businesses who have yet to take the plunge to get online.

With 85% of consumers now searching online before buying a product or service, and with nearly half of all small businesses still not operating their own website, it means that a very large number of local businesses are invisible to the searching public who’d love to buy something from them if they could find them online.

Recent research in last few weeks shows within the trades person segment those with a website make an average of £16,500 extra revenue p.a. and get on average 21 additional sales leads a year through their website.

For £1 a business or charity get their own .uk domain name, a professional email, a basic website, and ad listings across the Scoot network all worth £321 in the first year. There is a FREE UK phone number for personal ‘hand holding’ support to take up the offer on 0800 160 1694 and a website page with more details at
